ABOUT ME
Ty Teissere
My love for gardening started in my Grandpa Eddie's tropical fern oasis in Lakewood, CA. His lush, vibrant garden sparked a lifelong passion for plants and fruit, inspired by the patterns of forest edge ecosystems.
After exploring tropical lands abroad, I rooted back in Southern California to create my own edible garden haven. As an ISA Certified Arborist and greywater irrigation installer, I've seen firsthand the struggles local gardeners face. The single biggest issue? How to tend the soil, organically, for abundant results.
My answer is Vermilion Compost. We use over 100,000 worms to create organic castings from dairy manure and local juice pulp. We use this worm compost to brew microbially-abundant liquid compost tea, transforming lifeless dirt into vibrant, healthy soil and invigorated plants.

Most of our garden plants prefer fundamental conditions:
Sun, Water, Air and Earth
When our soils are dry (inconsistent water), compacted like concrete (no air), and have no visible soil life (no access to earth minerals), our plants respond to sunlight more like a vampire than a sun goddess.
